We've got plenty of rainy day activities to keep guests of all ages amused. Parents, you can drop off the little ones at the KEE Kids Club and the KEE Games Room, where they can make new friends and join in games of table football, table tennis and of course video games as well as other supervised activities. And while the kids are making new friends, you can curl up with a good book on the sofa with your favourite drink or watch the latest sporting events on the wide screen TVs at KEE Drink.

TWO - KEE Drink

At the newly opened KEE Drink you're sure to find your favourite liquid companion to sip in comfort on the big sofas and at the bar. We've got teas and coffees from around the world and all sorts of fruity cocktail and non-alcoholic mocktail concoctions, plus a wide range of new- and old-world wines and international beers by the glass as well as various light foods and snacks.

THREE - Food Glorious Food

When it comes to serious dining experiences the Kee Resort has it all. There's all-day dining at the Kee Kitchen, serving buffet breakfast and then lunch and dinner with real Italian pasta and pizzas, an array of freshly-baked breads, daily chef's specials plus of course a mouthwatering menu of real Thai cuisine with a contemporary twist. You can use the in-room Entertainment Center to browse the week's set menu of combo of favourites from around the world. Kee Kitchen is open 6.30am to 11pm.

FOUR - Dining Under the Stars

Even though it's the rainy season, you can still dine under the stars at night at the KEE Sky Lounge, serving a variety of steak dinners, other exotic dishes, creative cocktails and wines on the 7^th floor, overlooking Patong Beach and giving you a spectacular sunset show over the bay. Open 5.30pm until midnight.

Don't Panic

Tsunami warning announcements are primarily a precautionary measure to ensure people have plenty of time to prepare in the rare event that a tsunami wave may be heading towards the island.

The most recent tsunami warning on April 11 was due to an earthquake which occurred about 300 miles from Phuket and was reported immediately to stations monitoring the Indian Ocean, giving people in Phuket at least 2 hours notice.

Fortunately the resulting wave measured only 10cm high.

We are Prepared

However, in the event of a genuine threat from natural disaster or otherwise, staff at The Kee Resort & Spa are well trained to deal with emergency situations.

In the event of a tsunami warning, The Kee Resort offers a safe haven for the public in the Patong Beach area, including non-guests or guests of other hotels.

Kee Resort staff will be on hand to direct people in an orderly manner to the safest area.

Staff will also check every guest room to ensure all guests are safe and their valuables secure.

Tsunamis Are Rare

Again, please rest assured that the tsunami warning system is designed to give people plenty of time to prepare if an earthquake occurs anywhere in the Indian Ocean so in the unlikely event that you experience a tsunami warning, please remain calm and follow the instructions of The Kee Resort 7 Spa staff.

Corporate Social Responsibility Goes Green as The Kee Resort Joins Green Leaf Project

The Kee Resort & Spa in Patong is one resort in Phuket dedicated to preserving the island's natural beauty by reducing environmental impact with green awareness policies and energy-saving technology.

Solidifying its commitment to corporate social responsibility (CSR) as a green hotel, the Kee Resort & Spa registered in February to join the Green Leaf Project, which is recognized globally as a driving force in promoting environmentally-friendly practices and procedures in the service industry.

In line with the resort's commitment to Green Leaf initiatives, many policies are already in place throughout the hotel.

In guest rooms, for example, SelecTV technology dramatically reduces the need for paper. Guests can get most of the information they need during their stay at the resort via the TV, including the latest promotions, and they can even check their bill in real time, without the hotel having to print a single piece of paper.

Other energy-saving technology installed throughout the Kee Resort includes highly efficient LED lighting, which can be controlled by a switchboard in guest rooms – using up to 90% less power and lasting much longer than conventional lighting.

The hotel's kinetic elevators store the energy they produce when going down, then use that stored energy to power the elevator when going back up.

And behind the scenes, batteries and other items are recycled, and heat-exchange technology saves energy by using the heat exhaust from the air conditioning system to heat water.

All these green ingredients are great examples of how green technology can reduce energy use while actually enhancing the guest experience, while also keeping costs low and saving the environment.
